Of all the common skin complaints, the appearance of large, visible pores is up there. It seems like no matter how much we clean and moisturize our skin, those large pores are all we can see when we look back in the mirror.
Large pores also attract dirt and oil, leading to unsightly blackheads and breakouts that can take forever to go away. While some makeup products can help conceal the look of large pores, they never fully make pores disappear.
Plus, covering large pores up with makeup only invites more blackheads and pimples as this makeup can clog up the skin. Luckily, there are some simple home remedies that have been proven to reduce the size of your pores so that your skin can finally be flawless and smooth.
While all of these recipes work effectively removing large pores using only two ingredients, we decided to add some extra ingredients for additional benefits.
6.) BAKING SODA & WATER MASK
Thanks to the sodium bicarbonate in baking soda, this mask will tighten pores, giving the appearance of smooth skin. Plus, the pH level in baking soda will discourage future breakouts.
Simply combine equal parts of baking soda and water. Smear this mixture on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then gently wipe this mixture off with a wet towel.
5.) LEMON JUICE & TOMATO MASK
Thanks to the acids in both tomatoes and lemon juice, this mixture will kill dead skin cells while minimizing the size of your pores. You can also use tomato as a natural acne treatment as well.
Form a thick paste with a few drops of lemon juice and two fresh tomatoes that have been pureed. Spread this mixture evenly onto your face and allow it to dry.
This will take about 15 minutes. Simply rinse this mixture off with lukewarm water when you are done.
4.) LEMON JUICE & EGG WHITE MASK
In addition to tightening pores, this mask will also kill bacteria that causes acne and remove dead skin cells.
Whip up two egg whites until they form stiff peaks. Next, add a couple of drops of lemon juice and carefully stir this in. Lightly smear this mixture onto your face and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes.
To remove, simply rinse it off with lukewarm water.
